Julia Rugg
Founder / Managing Director

Julia Rugg has had her hand in the performing arts since her days as
a 4-year-old Suzuki violin student. Although she now only sings in the shower, her passion for world class arts education dovetails with her years of corporate management and public education experience and uniquely positions her as a results-oriented managing director. Studying acting as a BFA at Ithaca College was a transformative experience and led Julia to pursue additional undergraduate and graduate degrees in child development and elementary education. Julia is passionate about the integration of theater arts, mental and behavioral health, and education. As a local MCS parent, Julia will drive collaboration between the Delaware County School of Performing Arts, Margaretville Arts Center, local schools, and behavioral health services, to increase  the availability of performing arts education for all.
Julia looks forward to serving the Delaware County arts community and would love to hear from you! She can be reached at: julia@mvillearts.org

     Chris von Rinteln- playWright

Chris is a freelance writer and editor who has penned everything from surfer bios and safari websites to climate justice missives and Harvard coursework. As an editor, he is always looking for ways to help others tease out details, hone their ideas, and bring their best work to the page.

With a former career in hospitality—two decades building programs and managing guests at neighborhood bars and Michelin-starred establishments alike—Chris is well practiced at collaborating with diverse personalities, leading teams with conviviality, and putting on a performance every night (if a little lacking in song and dance).

Combining that professional background with an innate curiosity and a wide spectrum of personal interests, Chris enjoys taking a multifaceted, open-minded approach to creative group work. He’s thrilled to have the chance to support Delaware County’s next generation of performers as they showcase their talents to their community.
